Eddie Vs La Jolla is my favorite steak house! It's in a La Jolla so parking is always hard but we did valet! Service is fast and friendly. They always checked in on us. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, just the way we like it. The best part is sitting in the patio and getting to enjoy the view. Cant wait to come back!

Street parking was not easy to find but they do offer valet near the entrance. We did not have a reservation and they did not have seating available in the main dinning area but they did offer upstairs seating for my family. The upstairs view is absolutely gorgeous of La Jolla cove. There was a mix up with our seating arrangements and we had wait about five additional minutes while the host Danni figured out where we were supposed to sit, but she remained apologetic for the mix up. The seating upstairs remained heated and covered. It was nice we got to enjoy the view of the water and stay warm. Our server was Daniel and he was kind and patient throughout our dinner. My daughter spilled her entire glass of water and Daniel immediately removed all of the glassware and bread from the table and replaced the table cloth. He was quick, attentive and very polite. We ordered appetizers and drinks and enjoyed the food. It began to get louder as the evening progressed and our server Daniel became very busy and checked on us less frequently. The service was a bit slow, drinks took a while to make it to the table but other than that everything was great. The crab cake was probably my favorite.

My friend took me to Eddie V's as a birthday treat. We hit the Happy Hour and really had a nice time. The service was excellent as well as the cocktails. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view. They have heaters and wind screens, so it's nice to be on the patio. We especially loved the sliders. It was a very nice treat!

Steakhouse with a million dollar view overlooking the downtown La Jolla coastline. I went here for a private lunch banquet and got to try the lobster bisque (quite delicious with chunks of lobster), 10 ounce fillet (very tender, but not much crust), crab fried rice (bit disappointing - needed more flavor), grilled asparagus (good and hard to mess up), and the bananas foster butter cake (flavorful and a nice way to finish). A nice meal and the view made it even better.

Come for your birthday and have Maria sing happy birthday. She's super sweet, attentive, a thin blond with glasses. Thank you Maria! Food is solid- super yummy. View is amazing!!!! Medallion filet Oscar style was great. All sides were great- rice, shrimp & grits, carrots. Berries and fresh creme was delicious. The banana foster was delicious.

How do I even begin to say how great this place was to dine at? Someone wanted to take me out to a 'nice dinner' and when he said nice, he meant NICE. I had no idea how nice, but I was told to look nice too and this is where he decided on. NICE things about this location: - Great live music was playing outside - Located in the lovely Prospect St. area of La Jolla Even if you miss the sunset, the view is spectacular - A variety of paid parking lots are easy to walk to NICE things about the food/drink -Great Wine Suggestions from your waiter EXCELLENT crab fried rice (when you bite into it you taste the crab and SEE the crab) You kind of get to eat with your eyes first here and not let down when you eat. - Large pieces of lobster in the lobster taco appetizer and BEST TORTILLAS ever - Prawn and Scallops (50/50 suggestion by our waiter) was divine - I enjoyed my Chilean Seabass (keep in mind that the bed of spinach is not really a side dish portion - side dishes need to be ordered seperately) - Large pieces of lobster in the lobster taco appetizer and BEST TORTILLAS ever Prawn and Scallops (50/50 suggestion by our waiter) was divine - I enjoyed my Chilean Seabass (keep in mind that the bed of spinach is not really a side dish portion - side dishes need to be ordered seperately) NICE things about the service Professional yet friendly and fun greeting - Open and friendly waitstaff (although it took quite awhile for us to get to order) - They were great about packing our take out order and our leftovers Bottom line, if you have a NICE occasion and want to treat someone out to some great seafood with a great atmosphere, bookmark this for your list of considerations. I'd go back just for the crab fried rice...

Decided to have an early dinner while in La Jolla. It was an upscale dining experience with a touch of the cool La Jolla beach vibe, From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable--attentive, knowledgeable, and warm without being overbearing. Started with the Lobster Tacos and that was delicious. Main Course NY strip steak stole the show--juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Sides to order: The crab fried rice is an absolute must-have--a rich, indulgent dish that's both unique and satisfying. The au gratin potatoes were pure perfection, creamy and flavorful with a melt-in-your-mouth good. Great date night spot and anyone looking for a good meal and some fun cocktails to try.

From start to finish our entire evening was amazing, Eric went above and beyond with his service. His recommendations did not disappoint, he was extremely knowledgeable and suggested items based on our personal dietary preferences. Everything we ordered tasted amazing and it all paired well with each other. The entire atmosphere in the restaurant, from when we walked in to when we left contributed to an amazing night. Every staff member we encountered was just as friendly as Eric. I can go on and on about every detail, but to make this short this is a restaurant everyone needs to experience.

I absolutely LOVE Eddie V's. 100% my favorite San Diego restaurant for birthdays and special occasions. The views of La Jolla cove are amazing, service is impeccable, and food is top tier. Seriously everything is delicious. The filet is one of the best I've had and their appetizers never miss. I've tried many menu items and none have let me down! Top on my list is the lobster bisque, calamari, and lobster mashed potatoes. I recommend making a reservation in advance for their top floor patio for the best views at sunset. It is generally pretty busy and located in downtown La Jolla. As such, parking can be difficult. There is valet available for $20 or street parking if you are patient and take a few laps. I've never not been able to find something but it can take a few minutes. Highly recommend and will absolutely return!

I have never had a bad meal here! This was a wonderful way to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary. Not only is the view inside and outside gorgeous, the service was impeccable, food incredible and I want to live there We started at the bar inside and had wonderful conversation with the staff who introduced us to some new libations as we shared an appetizer of yellowtail sashimi. So light, fresh and delicious. Our table was decorated with rose petals along with a signed card from staff and a special bottle of our favorite wine that my hubby pre ordered to be ready on our table! Our crisp salads, caviar potatoes, lobster and filet were to die for melt in your mouth amazing. We usually go to Eddie vs in downtown SD which is amazing but La Jolla has a different beautiful charm that is it's own. Run.. don't walk to this amazing restaurant. You will not be disappointed!
